Applicants must meet the following general criteria and additional role specific criteria as outlined below
Geneal Criteria:
Must be a current (for the 2024 season), first registered members of the Lismore & District Netball Association (LDNA) and Netball NSW (NNSW) and be familiar with, and abide by, LDNA Policies and Procedures and the NNSW Codes of Conduct.
May not officiate in any capacity for another Association’s Representative teams.
Agree to abide by the Child Protection Act and have a current Working with Children Check.
Must have a current First Aid certificate.
A Representative Official must wait with any athlete/s that has not been collected by parent/guardian at the completion of training sessions or on return from State Titles.
A Representative Official is not permitted to transport athletes without prior permission of the parent/guardian involved. Acknowledgement of this, in writing, from the Representative Convenor, is also essential.
A minimum of one Representative Team Official (either the Head Coach, Assistant Coach or Manager) must travel with the team where group travel is organised.
Provide a duty of care, on behalf of LDNA, to team members.
Be available to take up their position once appointed.
All sponsorships must first be discussed with the Representative Convenor prior to any negotiation or acceptance.
Team officials are to remain neutral in the lead up to, and during, the representative selection season.
Approaching individual players, teams, coaches, parents and other involved persons is not permitted.
The principle of confidentiality by all team officials is paramount. All officials will be required to sign an LDNA Confidentiality agreement and Code of Behaviour agreement.
Contravention of the Confidentiality Agreement will lead to removal from the position.
The Representative Convenor will be shared into any group communication platforms. e.g. emails, team app pertaining to the team.
